Purchased a Samsung DVR-dvd player in December. Parts were cheap and flimsy, but I thought"maybe thats the way electronics are made these days". Six months later the player no longer plays TV dvds(IE- simpsons season sets, Dave chapelle, etc.)

I never should have listened to that bimbo at Best Buy who recommended the thing.

Bought a 50" DLP 1080p TV for $4,500 less than 2-years ago.

Have had the light engine replaced 3 times due to the housing separating and causing a blue-ink line about 1" thick, top to bottom, down the left side.

The 3rd replacement has once again cracked and Samsung will no longer support it.

All I can say is I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product. But if you do...pay for the longest extended warranty you can get because you'll need it.

I waited 10 weeks for a refund on a broken fridge. No offer of a loaner, no reply to my letter to the president. Never again will they get my money.

Tried to get a Samsung laser printer under warranty repaired - 2.5 months later, I still do not have my printer back. One has to spend at least 30 minutes on hold to get Samsung's level-2 tech support only to be told that they need to look into what's going on and then call you back. No one calls back. Ever. So, their one-year warranty is a scam. They do not say they won't repair the piece of junk - they just do not do it.

Okay here's my story.
SOoo it's boxing day. I went to future shop 2am in the morning to line up, thought it was worth it, got a brand new samsung monitor. I went home, tried it out. It couldn't even display gradients properly. ANd guess what?! it BROKE within THREE DAYS! I went back for a refund and saw about 10 returned monitors of the same brand lying on a shelf...

I have to agree I have twice purchased Samsung products and twice they have failed on me. Customer service will eventually resolve any issues you have but keep in mind they only do so when they “Feel like it” and at a snails pace, do not expect to get any calls from them and document every single person you speak to with the date and time you spoke to them. My first issue was with the ice maker on my Samsung refrigerator, it stopped working after 11 months so I called and made a warranty claim, they said they were going to find an authorized Samsung technician in my area and will call me back to make an appointment, two weeks went by I got no call so I decided to call them back, they told me they were still waiting on finding an authorized tech and will call me back. Another three weeks went by and this time they told me that the fridge was out of warranty and I was basically S#@^ out of luck. After much screaming and arguing I got to there executive customer service who extended my warranty another 6 months and said they will get me a tech ASAP, I said no why would it take so long to find an authorized repair center? After speaking to a supervisor they offered to refund my money or return the unit at my expense to best buy and get another, I refused to return the unit unless they paid the delivery charges and after much arguing they agreed to pay for the delivery fees, so I went with an LG that has been working fine for the past 8 months.
My second incident with this crappy company was when I purchased a sc-x210l sports camera, was advertised as Mac compatible even says it on their web site, guess what its not! About a week after buying it I called customer support and spoke to the tech who told me they are aware that the unit is not Mac compatible but that they were working on a patch to resolve the issue, I said ok ill hold on 4 months later still no patch 8 months later customer service told me there will never be a patch they cant get them to work with Mac and if I return the camera to Samsung I can get a percentage of my money refunded. Once again after much arguing they agreed to refund me my entire purchase price, this was told to me on the 27th of dec they received my camera on the 2nd of jan, I decided to call today and was told that no one has entered the info in there system yet and that they will do it today and I should get my check in about 2 months! This company is really horrible, produces garbage, and has shoddy workmanship and the most terrible customer service in the world. Good thing that came out of this is that I will never by a Samsung product as long as I live.

SAMSUNG DOES INDEED SUCK
Pure and simple. No polite way of saying it.
1) Ordered a brand new 19", current model LCD monitor.
2) Opened box, monitor is defective. Bad pixels.
3) Call Samsung. Agent -"Send us your invoice and we will open a case. But may send you refurb monitor unless certain number of pixels are bad." Finally, after bitchin' they agree to send me new monitor.
The agent takes my email and says "We will email you confirming our receipt of your faxed invoice."
4) Nothing happens. 2nd call to Samsung. My file is sitting there. Told nothing would be done until I call in and elect "an option". I elect for "cross-shipment" of new monitor to save time. Provide credit card and agree to $350 credit card hold.
5) Another week plus goes by. Call 3rd time - Agent dialog..."Oh yes, someone at Samsung tried to call you yesterday. Even sent email." Both lies. I have caller ID and email works fine. Nothing in inbox or voice mail or caller ID from any party that I do not recognize. "Samsung wants to send me another model monitor." (I ordered a current model) "You can call them Monday." Me - Are they open? "Oh yes, you will have to call Tuesday." Me- What's the number? "Oh, you can't call them, but you can call us and if the agent checks the file they will see that your matter has been escalated to "Executive Customer Support"
In my corporate life I have been to Samsung headquarters in Seoul, Korea. It WAS a decent company. Now they rank with some of the low-price slimebags that operate on the net. I have 3 Samsung monitors. I will NEVER buy another, even if I must use a back-up CRT display.

Purchased a Samsung 400 GB SATA HDD . With loads of Data and settings it blew off 4 months before. Got a replacement , so they say, HDD after 2 months of fight with the service centre. Connected to my PC and I found it has the same problem. Nearly a month now it is still not replaced. I would never buy a SAMSUNG product again. As I am a dealer of computer peripherals I will make sure none of the systems assembled by us will ever carry a samsung product. When Seagate, WD & Hitachi gives replacements in 10 to 14 days max, here is one company wasting all our time and money. "SAMSUNG SUCKS".

wow! I found a home
hello Samsung haters

purchase and expensive 40" LCD adn got a whopping 1.5 years out of it before the LCD panel went dead.
The replacement parts would have been $1,700 not including labor.
The cheapest part to replace on this is the mother board at $350.
contacted Samsung and they truly just don't care that they eihter produce crap or have a quality control issue. NEVER AGAIN

Samsung: Most aggressively unhelpful customer service ever.

I bought a Samsung MPH510 cellphone. For no reason at all, the front LCD screen went out after just four months of normal use. It was still under warranty. Phone was fine when I put it in my pocket, LCD was "bleeding" when I took it out. (Later, I discovered a coworker had an identical problem.) I dutifully sent it into Samsung, only to have them say that LCD problems were the fault of the consumer and not covered by warranty. I went through a million supervisors and phone trees, only to get denied on all fronts. (They apparently don't have the same definition of "warranty" as the rest of the world.) There was no effort to placate or mitigate the problem, I was treated rudely and dismissively at all times. I'll never buy another Samsung product.

Their customer service is SH**!

I bought a YP-U3 mp3 player as a xmas gift. Supposed to get a cash-back on it as their special promotion stated but I had no luck getting one, even after the official claim that I lodged (and got a reference number for).

I called up a couple months later to see what happened to my claim and was redirected 10 or so times to different parts of the company causing me to make interstate phone calls basically because I kept getting pointed in the wrong direction. I eventually ended up at the “right” place (apparently), got put on hold and then got told that I'd get a call back as their operators were busy, left my mobile number and….surprise surprise.. NO PHONE CALL AT ALL… SCREW SAMSUNG..

And now.. 4 months down the track I discover the unit is faulty! \
The audio stopped being produced from the audio jack, just silence is emitted... the unit is screwed internally; there was no physical damage whatsoever... So I followed this up with firstly the store I purchased it at (JB-HiFi in the city). Was told to ring Samsung to make the claim, so I did, then they forwarded me to Newcastle Electronics who instructed me what to do to get the unit to them… So I packaged the unit up and mailed it off (reply paid, at least one perk of the situation)..

Today I get an e-mail from Newcastle Elec saying that my unit isn't covered under warranty as the unit has suffered internal corrosion! The unit didn’t have any contact with liquids as far as I’m concerned and it’s just another great example of their SH*TTY MANUFACTURING… To top it off, I must either pay NCE $60.50 to get my non-repaired unit returned, or, pay them the $60.50 for their inspection work and after they fix the unit, pay the difference which could well be as much as they want to charge... so I could be well up for another 70-80 dollars or more! The unit was 70$ with $20 cash back ‘offer’ which turned out to be a load of BS.

I complained to C/S saying that it was ludicrous and she told me to speak to Samsung C/S to see if I could arrange then to approve of a claim if they thought it was valid enough to be one...

So I start my saga to speak to customer service – I get through quickly the _first_ time and all is well until she puts me on hold for the third time in a row... 10 minutes later while still on hold I get forwarded to a message-bank recording system which instructed me to leave a message and then hangs up... WHAT KIND OF AVOIDANCE TACTICS DO THEY TEACH YOU DOWN THERE AT SAMSUNG YOU SLY BASTARDS?

So out of frustration I called back and let the operator know how ticked off I was and she seemed to co-operate a little better... I was told that I had to forward a reference number to the repair company so they could forward Samsung a job-description to assess whether or not it was coverable under their warranty...

I ALREADY FORSEE THE FUTURE AND IM NOT BEING PESSIMISTIC, IM BEING REALISTIC…

EITHER Samsung won’t follow it up and I’ll be left in the shadows once again OR they'll tell me I have to pay the fee and they can't help me out.

If that happens I am contacting consumer affairs to have this followed up mainly out of principal of the matter, the money isn’t even that much of an issue here – it’s the unprofessionalism and time wasting scam-artists that they are that is my motivation.

Conclusively, don’t buy a Samsung product unless you fancy the songs customer service waiting queues play and chatting up customer service women. Oh.. and being ripped off..

Never Buy Samsung.....

$2000 fridge, broke under warranty.
Now after 7 months of trying to get Samsuck to fix, they are hanging up and are lying - lucky I record everything. Can anyone help? Their favorite trick is to put you through to a supervisor, who is not! Just tell them you are recording this for legal purposes and hear their story change......

I will never buy samsung again!!!
I bought a 46"dlp tv. It's now broken for the 3rd time in 14 months. keeps burning out lamps. They extended my warrany the last time it broke which expires on 7/30/08. after some research i found that the ballast that powers the lamp is flawed and discontinued in mid 2006. I bought my tv on 2/17/07, 8 months after samsung new the part was defective. they refuse to sell me an extended warranty, I wonder why, and they won't refund my money or replace the tv. The idiot that they sent to repair my tv tried to tell me that there was over 7000 hours on my lamp that he himself replaced on 11/21/07 (only 5040hrs ago) and I work 8-10hrs a day, I sleep about 7-8hrs a night and I go out all weekend long and very rarely forget to shut it off. But he still swears that I watched my tv for 7000hrs on a lamp that was only 5040hrs old. samstinks stands behind there repairman, that means no one at samsung got passed the 3rd grade or failed math all through school. They get really pissed when you catch them lieing, which is every time they take you off hold. I wish they would extend my warranty so i could be a pain in there ass a little longer, I call them about 5 times a day and ask the same questions to different employees. they all have different answers then I ask to speak with the ecr department and then they send the same moron from rosewood a/v to lie to my face. now they are sending a new tech from some other company who will probably tell me I have 8000hrs on a 3 day old lamp.

I have never seen a company with such horrible customer service or incompetent service techs. I think anyone would have better luck with some no-name tv produced in a 3rd world country. Samsung is nothing more than a bunch of lieing, cheatin, stealing morons with no concern for there customers. I talked to a few service techs and they all said go with sony.

Anonymous said...

I just tried something, I typed sony sucks, phillips sucks, etc...
they average a half million results while samsung sucks shows 1.4 million results. I think that alone tells the story.
samsung isn't the cheapest so thats not it, I don't think they sell 3 times all other brands. I think they just sell 3 times more junk, yeah, thats it. I hope my blog above saves at least one person alot of money and headaches.
DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

hey all ex-Samsung customers!
I bought top of the line Samsung washer and dryer about 4 months ago. Dryer seems ok but I've been trying to get a service call on the washer for 2 months with no success. The damn thing tumbles this way and that way but can't advance to spin cycle. A 53 minute cycle turns into 90 minutes. WTF? Samsung Customer Care has shown itself to be completely inept: they tried twice to schedule a service provider to come to San Francisco but each has been 45+ miles away and they told me Samsung continues to schedule repairs into areas they don't support. Lie upon lie. Broken commitment after broken commitment. My next stop is small claims court of they don't make measurable progress in the next 24 hours. I too will never EVER purchase anything Samsung and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from these smelly kimchee eating slime balls.

I worked for Samsung Canada as top level support and can tell you level 1 support is based in the usa and they can't troubleshoot even the basics. If a reseting or unpluging the product does not resolve the issue then they contact level 2 which consists of 3 people. One for consumer electronics, one for cell phones and 1 for printers. These level 2 staff get tons of email and calls from level 1, this is piss poor customer service, overworked. If level 1 could troublehoot then level 2 (escalations) could provide better customer service.

Office of the president is a joke since all they do is hand the email back to escalations. Office of the president consists of the supervisor and 2 other customer relations staff (level 1) at headoffice which also has approx 10 level 1 support who are no better than the USA level 1 agents.

Things are about to get a lot worse in the next month.

Anonymous said...

I also bought a Samsung laser printer that advertised and promised OS X support. Got home, read the manual first (yes, OS X support), installed the toner cartridge and ... nope.

Called Samsung Canada and they denied everything, saying it was my fault. Called Samsung USA and they said don't call them, call Samsung Canada. Called Samsung Canada again and they said they couldn't help me.

Just bought a Samsung cell phone (M510) two weeks ago. Guess what? A couple of advertised features don't exist, (advertised on the web site, on the product box, and in the manual). Called Samsung Canada and they said only "Sorry I can't answer your question."

Waited a week and called again. Same answer again, but this time the guy went on to admit that yes, the product may be missing some features. I asked why they would sell a product that doesn't have the advertised features. He hung up.

Will never, ever buy another Samsung product.

I bought a Samsung phone -- it died after 4 months when I was on a business trip. The phone is supposedly covered under warranty. I sent it in. It has been two weeks since I sent it in and they say they have a part on order from Korea and that the wait is indefinite. I will be a month (at least) without a phone and it's their faulty product!!
I have demanded better service or a replacement and the customer service people just stonewall me and they're very snippy and condescending.
I am never again buying another Samsung product.

First time I bought a Somesing product was a camera 10 years ago, for a trip to India. The camera broke while on the trip. A few years later, moved to Korea. Bought another Somesing product, this time a phone. After less than six months, the mother board had to be changed TWICE! I'll buy Somesing else next time.

got a Samsung 943NWX widescreen 19" LCD monitor, and though i get the native resolution on XP, i dont get it on Vista! they have ONE SINGLE driver for both XP and Vista, and it's still in Version 1.0. so call tech support, and they have no clue, and try to blame it on the nVidia 8600GT GPU, saying that it wont support it! then they send a "service tech", who's pretty much useless too!

all the times i've called, NEVER have i been able to speak to a supervisor! they give the lame excuse that they have ONE supervisor for the monitor dept., and he's either on a break, or in a meeting, ot jerking off the receptionist, but he's NEVER available to speak to the customers!!! yeah... pathetic!

when i demand for a refund, they transferred me to the IT dept., who against sent 2 service technicians, one of them being a "senior" tech. so he "troubleshoots", or should i say, just has a look a the monitor and answers a few of his phone calls, and then tells me he'll be back in 2 days with a new driver! like yeah! he's brilliant!

a week passes and he doesnt even call. so i call him again on wednesday, and he says he'll come on Saturday! and guess what... he doesnt! how predictable!

i work in HP in tech support for all in one printers, and i thought some of our practices were bad! they guys suck d**k, monumental d**k. and reading all your comments, i think ill just make a video of smashing this piece of shit up and post it on youtube!

Purchased a Samsung cell phone and the extra battery pack that came with the phone konked out and died, severely limiting the time my cell phone battery will last. It was sent to Samsung to get fixed and it was GONE FOR 7 WEEKS, that's right, 7 weeks! That's not even the worst part, the worst part is that the PHONE WASN'T EVEN FIXED! I got it back and my cell battery pack still doesn't work! What the heck were they doing for those 7 weeks? And the icing on the cake is that they kept it so long that my warranty has run out on the phone. Doesn't matter to me because they will be replacing that phone come hell or high water.

SAMSUNG SUCKS BIG TIME IN INDIA..

I bought a Samsung 40inch lcd in sep'08. It broke down in 1 month. Technician found out that a PCB had to be replaced. Next day Samsung Service Center tells me that the part is not available right now and they can procure it only after 2 weeks. WTF!! I live in the capital. Anyways, after 2 weeks they tell me that the PCB cannot be procured cause it is not available anywhere. Its like a commodity which some EVIL guy bought all the available inventory in the world and now demands KOREA in exchange. (I hope he gets KOREA and burn down all SAMSUNG factories there).

I still do not have a TV. They are a bunch of donkey cock suckers and I hope that someones shoves sand up their vagina. I M IN LOVE WITH THE GLOBAL NO.1 and I WANT TO RAPE the ONE.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in November 2007. In early September, 2008, it stopped working. It took 3 weeks for a serviceman to come to look at the fridge and today, 20th November, 2008 the fridge was finally picked up to be taken away as it is not repairable. I have been without a refrigerator for 3 MONTHS! and I live in Brisbane where the weather is very hot. It got lost in the mail then you were moving and could not find it and 5 months later you sent it back to me broke .then it took 500 phone calls to get someone on the phone to tell me you cannot fix it and there are no more left. So they said if you wait another 3 to 4 months we will send you a new one I got this may2008 and now is humming like it is going to blow up. my 2nd one did not even make it 2 months and your customer service dept told me to send them in so what i can wait a year to get them back thats b.s plus i did not spend hard earn money on referbish stuff if so then i should have got a deal on them thats how i feel so now I have 2 bad home theaters well over $1200.00 i have called your customer service dept they are the worst people on the plaint I get better service at Mc Donald’s your people say they will call back and don’t that they will have a supervisor call they don’t i would have thought after a year you would have improved on your customer service but you didn’t as a matter of fact it is 50 time worst I am to the point now you can refund my money on my 2 50 inch TVs and the home theaters and I will never do business with you people ever again i feel as if i have been ripped off that i am a single parent and work very hard for my money and i put my trust in your people and bought products and when now that i have had servile problems with your products i feel as if i have open my window and throw out my hard earn money. Why you people sit back B.S. the customer and run them around. Wow, I’m Korean, and as I heard from the papers or people, Samsung is being well respected in the US. But seeing now, I’m sure Samsung deserved to be disrespected. People who've been had a bad, stopping product... sometimes products can be sold in the unstable bad circumstance right out from the factory... I’m sure you people just had a bad luck. Yep, Samsung sucks. To you people, a/s service in the US is seems like really bad, because of low service policy to the US. I guess Samsung will never 'really success' unless they are 'think' about the customers as a 'customer'. it's sad our company is being deverve like a garbage..

I bought a 67" dlp (HL-r6768w) Did my due diligence prior to purchase. Hell, this model was the product of the year at the electornics show in Vegas the year it came out. Figured it was what I was after. Hoped it would be the last TV I'd ever buy. I just had to call to have the light engine replaced again (3rd or 4th time - lost track). I got the black stripe down the right side again. Understand it's a common problem with these. This set retailed for 5 grand when it first sold. I didn't pay that, but a fistful of dollars. I also bought an upconverting DVD player (no problems with that, yet - Knock on wood). Fortunately, I did buy the extended warranty for 5 years, so haven't been stuck with any out of pocket so far. Kind of dreading the expiration of the warranty tho.

I am a U.S. Army soldier recently home from deployment. Upon arrival home approx. 2 days my Samsung refridgerator went on the skids. All of my food for my family (inc. 5 kids) had to thrown in garbage. Called Samsung who informed me that we had extended warranty and parts and service would be covered...just had to pay 122.50 for guy to come out then it would be reimbursed if problem was caused by their parts. O.k. I thought fridge only a little over a yr old, they are standing by their product great! WRONG! I had to pay service call plus an additional 198.00 because their part under warranty was bad and caused another part that wasnt under warranty to go bad as well. I had to go out and purchase a dorm sized fridge to keep my kids milk cold. Dont buy this garbage ever! You will be stuck with a lemon. I have contacted Better Business Bureau as well. Samsungs warranty isnt worth the garbage it sells. Buy American!

All you people are idiots! Samsung is a great company. I have a Samsung 40" lcd tv, 26" lcd tv, 19" lcd tv, Samsung Ace cell phone, Samsung drive in my computer, Samsung digital camcorder, 17" lcd computer monitor and all of those Samsung products work just fine. Just so you know they own some of nissan and manufacture stuff for them too, how many of you have a nissan that u like? Samsung is now making lcd panels w/ sony since sony is on the edge of going bankrupt so those new sony tvs are actually mostly samsung.

My first three (3) 305T monitors had problems right out of the box and my fourth (4th) worked for 8 months and then died. (Please note that all of these monitors were purchased brand new from three different retailers: Amazon, Newegg, B&H Photo). Monitor #1 didn’t work. Monitor #2: had a row of dead pixels that went from side to side of the monitor horizontally (my screen looked like it had a divider between the top and the bottom). Monitor #3 made bubbling noises whenever it was turned on. Monitor 4 worked great for about 8 months and then one day started rapidly flashing (not a typical flicker, but more like the monitor was going on and off) so bad that I had a terrible migraine after about 15 seconds. Now I’ve had the joy (sarcasm) of contacting Samsung’s Executive Service (ECS).

I've gone through 3 Samsung televisions. After getting the second replaced by Samsung, they told me that I won't have a warranty anymore. This TV has a poor ATSC receiver and won't properly output audio from TV stations.
The sound cuts out and sounds like the people on TV are talking through a fan.
I will never buy anything Samsung for the rest of my life, so long as I can reasonably avoid it.

Screw Samsung.
And screw TV Specialists of SLC, UT.

I've bought Samsung cellular phones for several years. The last one I got though, the stripe, was a surprise. Not only does the battery drain like a shop-vac sucking the floor dry, but it is falsely advertised as having voice dialing. The big surprise was the run-around I got from Samsung. After spending a lot of time proving to them that their spec sheet is inaccurate and that the sole reason why I bought the phone was for this feature, they made no apology and told me to go fly a kite. Why is it that big corporations have absolutely no fear of losing their customers? I'll tell you why - because Americans have no memory. People get burned and a week later their back to handing over their money to the same corporate jerks.

I am so irritated...I bought a Samsung LCD tv TWO MONTHS AGO, and it has failed me. It still has some kind of image, but it is is almost unwatchable...it is like everything I watch was filmed with a thermal camera. I will never buy Samsung again. Samsung isn't trying to help, they clearly don't care, and their website is not at all user-friendly.

I have been the unlucky owner of 2 samsung cell phones and will never purchase another samsung product. My first incident involved a sgh-c417. It was a great phone & I liked it very much. I had it for a whole 3 months before it quit working. I sent it in for warranty and was told that it had water damage. It was not repairable nor covered under warranty. My second was a blackjack. It lasted me almost a month and same problem occurred. The indicator showed water damage and...here we go again. If I had gotten either of these units wet with water I would gladly admit it. But they got damp from being in my outer shirt pocket while I was working in a warm work area. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I had an LG, a Blackberry, 2 Motorolas during the past 5 years while working in the same atmosphere. They have been exposed to the same elements as the samsung and heave had no ill effects on any. I feel that the quality of the samsung is inferior and advise others to stay away from this brand.

I have been having problems with my monitor since January. After the third replacement failed, I was informed I would receive a new, not refurbished monitor. After two months no such monitor has arrived, and Samsung is telling me that they won't send me a new monitor. I now have my attorney working on this for me. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product as long as I live, and I will be sure to discourage anyone I know who is thinking of buying a Samsung product from doing so.

I have received a Samsung mp3 player as a present last year and 6 months later it broke down. I did not have a receipt, so I had to spend 2 months arguing with them over the phone and convince them to have a look at it. They finally accepted, asked me to ship it back (and pay for shipping), and a month later I received a brand new mp3 player. Worried that this new player will die on me like the last one, I called Samsung Customer Service as soon as I received my new player and asked them if the warranty will also change with the player and they said yes. Now, not even 6 months after they changed the last one, of course, it broke down (great products!!!!). However, they refuse to fix it because it's not covered by the old warranty! So now I officially hate Samsung! Can't wait to get an ipod!

Samsung is the most horrible company ever. Their customer service is complete crap. Get this:

I made the mistake of purchasing an overpriced, $250 DVD player from Circuit City, months before anyone knew they would go bankrupt. The DVD player came with a 1-year factory warranty, and I purchased an extra year warranty from Circuit City. Eighteen months later, my Samsung 1080i upconverting DVD-R started skipping, and then not working altogether.

Samsung told me to clean the optics with a cleaning duter-type keyboard tool, and I did, but the DVD player still did not play, so I shipped it back to Samsung. Upon receipt, Samsung contacted me, telling me that the item was "out of warranty" and that it would cost me over $80 to have the optics cleaned. I told them that if they ever wanted my business again, they needed to fix my DVD player, free of charge. Otherwise, they could count on me NEVER purchasing their products again.

A week or two later, Samsung shipped me a DVD player with no HDMI input, nondigital (worth less than $30) as some kind of consolation gift. Get this: the "new" DVD player they shipped me won't even play a single one of the DVD's that I have in my house. It's as useful as a poopie-flavored lollipop.

So, Samsung, in their infinite corporate obliviousness, lost a customer for life. In replacing or repairing my original product (like Sony, Phillips, or Magnavox would do), they could have won me back in a heartbeat. But they decided to replace an expensive digital player with a nondigital DVD that doesn't even work. They suck, and they see their customers as cash cows and nothing else. They're a great company for all the idiots out there who use no discretion and take no action when the products fail at an unusually quick rate, but they're not for informed consumers who expect customer service.

Samsung sells snake oil; nothing more, and nothing less. You won't get what you pay for with them, and you won't get any sympathy from them when they screw up on making a product. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Correct! Samsungs are the Hyundais of Electronics. Many of their TVs often lose video but audio keeps playing. It just happens. I have it too on my LE22A656 TV.

Also, the tuner is not all that great, and most important, the viewing angle is crap. So crap that everytime you lower your head just a little bit, the image gets all too dim and unwatchable. Samsung however says this model has 178 degrees of vertical viewing angle. Yeah right, fraudsters. Even their "picture enhance" technology is a fraud. There is NO sophisticated processor behind, as they claim. The "picture enhancer" just makes the dark parts of the picture darker and pumps up the blue and red to give you a more "impressive" picture and the illusion of a higher contrast. But makes the picture look really really weird.

The sole purpose of this "enhancer" is to con you into buying the TV, by looking at the store and thinking it's better that the others. After a while, your eyes will start to hurt, so you will have to switch to "movie" (the normal) mode, and then you will realize the brightness and contrast is actually inferior that other TVs. Frausters!

I have an exterior USB Samsung Writemaster TSSTcorp CDDVDW SE-S204N Dvd unit and it's a piece of fucking garbage. And cost me four months worth of good food :'(

It won't read some dvds I've burned with other writers (and work fine), gets my windows stuck and gives crappy I/O erorrs. Wrote a couple of times broken dvd's (and nero initially did the verification and found nothing wrong!) Seriously. How the heck do they program these things?

Overall, I've lost already 2 dvd's worth of data (one with this year's pictures and I'm still raging mad about that one. And today is the second one with some music, this is why I even bothered to google "samsung sucks"

At first it worked a bit, managed to rescue some data, but now it doesn't work at all anymore. I think Samsung wrecks dvd's on purpose :(

Buuut... as a comparison to my TEAC Dvd writer at home it's a little bit more performant. Well, it cost almost triple, so it SHOULD be at least a bit better than my other hunk of junk of a dvd writer.

Well anyway, Samsung sucks balls and I wish I'd bought another model. Almost tops the shitty acer aspire one bioses regarding shittyness, but that's a subject of a different rant...

I can't believe how poor Samsung's driver support is for their MP3 products. I've searched high and low (many hours) for the YP-T9JAB driver that is not bundled with either WINXP or WMP11 and it is no where on Samsung's site. I expect technology vendors to clearly and comprehensively support their products regardless of what the O/S vendor may or may not do. I will ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS EXPERIENCE WHEN EVER CONSIDERING THE PURCHASE OF A PIECE OF KOREAN JUNK SUCH AS THAT FROM SAMSUNG.

Screw Samsung and their poorly designed everything. I used to think they had a great sense of quality in relation to value, too bad a huge part of quality is durability. A concept that seems to be foreign to them. I have calculators that have been dropped, stepped on, spilled upon, and abused in every possible way that are still with me today. Yet my undamaged, pampered little phone no longer registers touch after two months of normal use. Amazing.

Bought a $2500 lcd, had to return it the next day went back got a new one, one month later that broke down too, samsung never helps, they sent a technician literally after 3 months of constant nagging, who made it even worse. Everytime I call them they just say they will extend my warranty, i dont know what good that will do if they never bother to repair it in the first place.
Bought a vcr/dvd from them 6 months started making noises and didnt even work well to begin w/. I urge everyone to never by samsung, it may seem good in the store, for a good price but trust me the quality of their products suck, I'll never by from them again!

We purchased a Samsung LN40A550 and were quite pleased with the design and picture quality. Eight days after the 1 year warranty expired, the tv died. No picture, no sound, and it would not power off unless unplugged. Samsung customer service and the floor management in the call centre took a very "too bad - sucks to be you" attitude. Extremely disappointing. Even in the suffering auto industry I know they have some measure of goodwill after warranties expire. Where my husband works it is 20,000 kms "or so". Samsung does not stand by their products and does not care about customer retention, even when given the opportunity to do so.
Samsung anything? Never again! Samsung SUCKS!

MY SAMSUNG BAN STARTS NOW.
After researching and reading numerous reviews I purchased 2 Samsung 2433BW monitors to use as a dual-setup. After 1 month, one of the monitors started displaying 5 vertical lines of dead pixels. No problem, Samsung is big company and I'm well within my warranty period. I called in to their tech line and was put through all the basic troubleshooting questions, and the representative determined the monitor was bad. Problem is they do not have any "A-stock" or new monitors to replace the defective one I had purchased. So my options were to 1) send it in for repair (meaning no monitor for a month) 2) take a refurbished unit (I paid retail for a new unit, why would I take a refurbished one?) 3) call back to check "A-stock" (every time I call it takes around 1 hour to re-explain the problem and hear the representative say "we do not know when we will receive A-stock, call back again") Well it has been a month now with no resolution and no answers. So this is my only recourse as a consumer to let every potential customer know that Samsung products, customer service and the company as a whole are garbage.

Stay away from their MP3 players too. I have a YP-S3JAWY/XAA that makes me want to locate a sledge hammer. I have spent so many hours trying to sync music to this piece of shit, only to have it freeze at 99%. I've used six different programs to sync it, two of which came with the device. Not to mention the myriad of design flaws that I have to grapple with--everything from accidentally turning the device off to not being able to navigate the menus due to an oversensitive touch pad. I want a refund--of the hours of my life wasted by this defunct con job.

Recently I bought a 50" Plasma Samsung TV. It was missing the base and the remote doesn't work. I called Samsung support and explained the situation. They said they would send out the new parts. One month later - nothing. I called again and they said "I do apologize, we need a copy of the original invoice before we can do anything." I asked why they didn't tell me that in the first place and why hadn't they called me back? Response, "I do apologize, that's not our policy to call you back". So now I faxed them a copy of the invoice and was told "A supervisor will take care of it immediately." One week later I called to see if they had got the faxed invoice and if it was being handled. Response, "yes we have it but I do apologize it looks like nothing has been done with it yet." I asked to speak to the supervisor who then told me "I apologize, I will handle it immediately myself.
4 weeks later I once again called support and asked where the parts were. Response "I apologize it looks like nothing has happened yet." I asked to speak to a supervisor - I have now been sitting on hold for 30 minutes and counting.....
Would I buy another Samsung product - NO!
Would I recommend that someone else buy Samsung products - NO unless of course you love terrible customer service.
Don't get me wrong, the TV works great but their service goes beyond horrible.
I really hope that some executive at Samsung reads this and they do something about it. I couldn't image running my own business that way.

As per the service Rep please see the picture of the Camera ,

We bought this as a gift in January 09 at Future Shop (see bill pic attached)

About three weeks ago the shutter button just popped I tried to put it back on but it just wouldn't stay on.Future Shop said that it was a defect and to return it to Samsung because it was under guarantee.

(No reply unitl August 9 2009.)

Hello,
It has been several emails now and we still have not received a reply concerning the return of this defective camera.
Please reply thank you this was a gift and is CLEARLY A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT FROM SAMSUNG.

(Magically they replied the same day:........Aug 9 2009)

Hi Robin,
I do apologize for the delay, however after reviewing the pictures you have sent me. We came to a conclusion that this is considered physical damage and is not covered under the Samsung Warranty.

Regards,
Andrew
Dealer Support Representative, HA Division

(Reply:Same Day.)

Hello Andrew,
Thank you for the reply,

I do not know how this can be considered physical damage. The shutter button is connected somehow to the inside of the camera and has popped off, this is not an item that was dropped ect since there is not one blemish on the camera and is in perfect condition. Please explain why you would consider this physical damage.

Thank you for your understanding.

*Aug 13 2009 sent email to the OOP(office of the president).*

Hello,
I am forwarding you this email because the lack of support from Mr Noel,

I would like to say that your telephone staff was very helpful, but when it came to the dealer support representative Mr Noel was not helpful it took three emails over 3 weeks to finally get a response with no explanation to why the camera was categorized as physical damage. What I found disappointing is that only after the third email stating I did not get a response as of yet did I finally get a reply which is not expectable especially since the problem is with the shutter button which if it was not defective would have never popped off.
I thank you for your time in looking into this for me I have attached all emails I have sent and received from Mr Noel.

*President replys or someone working for him Aug 14 *

**My reply to this BS Aug 14 2009**

Thank you for you're reply,
I find this reply unexceptable since I fall into the "warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship encountered in normal, noncommercial use of this product" there is no physical damage to this camera and was used under normal conditions "POINT AND SHOOT" which is what the camera was developed for.

I hope you will reconsider this decision, if you look at the pictures you will see that the shutter button popped off which should never happen.

TY

*finally .Aug17*

Thank you for your reply, Out of courtesy, we’ll send you the authorization for an inspection, if the shutter just popped up Samsung will cover it but won’t cover any other damage.

My father bought a different model of Samsung DVD/VCR Recorder. A couple of months out of (short)warranty it stopped working at all, wouldn't power up. I try to use my 50" Samsung Plasma TV with an antenna and a rotor, but there is no way to manually save channels, so each time I rotate the antenna to get a different station, I have to go through a complete channel scan. I have been trying for three weeks to get service on my Samsung 52inch television. It simply started cycling "on" and "off" without any prompting by anyone. Apparenlty, this is known as "power cycling" and is a common problem. So common, in fact, Samsung actually has a firmware update to try and fix this problem. Except, you can't use the firmware if your TV won't turn on.

I have an extended warranty, and at first Samsung claimed it was not through them, even though it's got Samsung written all over the policy. For three weeks I have been passed back and forth between "service techs" and Samsung, when all they need to do is come out and replace the power supply, per the warratny I paid $500 bucks for. By the way, since Samsung and the people they have chosen to fix the television (AT&T Connect Tech) won't actually contact me to fix the problem, the warranty is useless. I literally cannot schedule an appointment with these people to get a service call, as they keep putting me on hold, never calling back, etc.

I believe AT&t Connect Tech to be a scam company. I do not believe, and I have no evidence that they actually intend to fix my television. I believe Samsung is aware of this fact, and is complicit in the denial of service.

I will never buy another Samsung anything again. I this will be the first post, of many I will make across the internet.

Samsung Sucks. Period.

Another person to get ripped off by this shoddy company. I purchased a 50" Plasma TV and 6 months later the panel was screwed. Images would stay frozen on the screen and overlap other images making the TV unwatchable. After many phone calls and e-mails I am told the same thing....they say it's my fault and they are voiding my warranty for abusing the product. I ask them what abuse since I never ran static images and I have an old junky Akai Plasma that outperforms their crap.

I have proof that my electronics are treated well and that it is a defective set (even local techs have agreed that have seen it), but Samsung wants to manipulate the wording of their warranty to screw the consumer.

We need a class-action lawsuit against them (I am looking into it) because it is illegal to screw consumers this way.

So, today I received a "reply" from someone at Samsung. I've said that your cheap parts failed and there are numerous problems with your products, and most of all one of your plastic doors FELL off and barely missed me and my baby daughter, and you guys have the nerve to basically tell me...."to order new parts please contact this authorized seller who sells our parts"!! Nothing saying, oh, we're sorry our crappy parts just about injured you and your daughter...or let's see what WE (Samsung)can do to help you. I WILL NOT, NEVER EVER, buy any other product from Samsung. I WILL NOT recommend you to any other person, whether I know them or not, since you can't even stand by your own parts. Terrible "customer service" if you can call it that. Good bye.

Bought a 46" LCD Samsung TV, and just after the 2 year warranty expired, the TV began to "power cycle." Not knowing this was a common issue, I simply called customer service. They had me unplug the TV and try again... but of course, no luck. The rep then told me that this was not a reoccuring issue with their TV's.

Such a lie. My first Google search hit was a 14 page message board of this exact problem. Called back and got absolutely no where.

This is such a piss poor way to run a business. They have good products, but make them so cheaply that they do not last. Then they fail to help their customers. So angry.

Bought Samsung Galaxy phone with Android OS. The system is awesome, but it's a new platform and earlier versions don't have many required options. There's only 1.5 ver on phone installed and all the users are waiting for an update [there were 1.6, 2.0 versions released and 2.1 is incoming quickly], but Samsung avoids saying anything about possible version update. Without it, i.e. Bluetooth does work only with audio sets [no file send...], no multitouch [although the screen should be capable]. What's more, Samsung's crappy New PC Studio had worked only for a while [with old firmware] but now the only function that works [and we should be happy to have at least that...] is using Galaxy as mass storage. No sync, no update at all. And all the work Samsung did with Android system was to play with the code to the point when it runs on the device - their code is crappy and they even didn't touch at least the 3D driver, which results in broken 3D acceleration on the device. Community has done much to improve this state, but left only with some crappy source code given away by Samsung which even doesn't look like the code of system running on the device. The hardware is very good but the soft ruins that phone.

If you want to buy an Android phone, choose anything other than Samsung. HTC would be great choice, with their good support and huge hacker base - many custom roms awaiting. Don't make the mistake I made.

In the spring of '09 I bought the Samsung Instinct phone. For those who do not know, this phone is basically a knockoff of the Iphone. Initially, it comes across like a great phone, but when you really use it you'll notice how buggy it is. Here are some of those most annoying bugs:

1) It has a fundamentally broken calendar that is crippled with bugs (events will set themselves to dates you don't specify, reoccur setting does not work) to absurd limitations (60 entries max, a 32 char limit to define what your event is)

2) Unusable built in webbrowser. If you use the "back" button like most PC users you'll find that this confuses the browser and you'll eventually encounter nothing but links that tell you "Link Expired"
Another problem is that the browser not only fails to respond to a click upon a link, but it will actually perform this stupid little zoom-in / zoom-out command!
Unusable.

3) Tons of other small bugs or unnecessary limitations
* You can type notes but only 10 and those can have no more than a certain number of characters (I think 255)
* If you use the alarm feature you'll find it always goes off on time, but it will sometimes go off at a random point in the day.
* The email system will simply stop downloading emails for no reason and then you have to play with it to restore the ability.

The calendar bug really bothered me a lot since I need that, but what bothered me the most was that Samsung was not fixing these bugs. And this is a phone that can have its software updated with a download! The phone seemed to be abandoned by the company.

I raised holy hell and Samsung eventually relented and sent me a replacement. Their flagship on the Sprint network: The Samsung Intrepid.

The Intrepid is a Blackberry-looking device with a Windows Mobile OS. Perhaps that was an omen because while this phone seems to work (for the most part) the software is the most convoluted, unintuitive software I have ever used. The main screen is straight out of Windows 3.1 and everything requires a minimum of 4 button clicks.

I have never had a phone where you can go into "something" (a window, menu etc) and not have a button to bring you back out of that something. The Intrepid will simply throw you back to the main desktop window and force you to navigate to your prior location, or the Intrepid will randomly throw you into another application that you thought you had closed.

Even making phonecalls is very difficult because of how cumbersome the UI is to navigate. Here's an example of how bad it's designed: the text field that shows the phone number is dark blue. Know how hard it is to read black text on a dark blue background on a sunny day? Lots. I wonder how many car accidents are going to be the indirect fault of the use of this phone.

The web browser seems to be somewhat incompatible with Facebook, but it's not like anyone uses that site anyway. Trying to use the text fields on that site is an exercise in frustration. On other sites it works fine. Hyperlinks...ugh... is it a mobile browser thing? Why is it that no webbrowser other than the Iphones will actually navigate to a link after you click it? Why do all the phones take it upon themselves to say "Awl, you don't really want to go there. You like it here!" At least it doesn't zoom in and out like the Instinct.

BTW: I was a software developer for 13 years so I know how to operate a computer.

I also got spoiled with the Instinct's large screen.

Well, I gave Samsung a chance and while they did give me a very powerful phone, they gave me one that's just not usable. I'm going to have to search outside Samsung for a phone that I can actually use.

Bought a washing machine just a little over a year ago and it just stopped working. Not many places will even touch my machine simply because its Samsung. Found someone finally and they order a part and we are still waiting for it a month and a half later. their customer service is non existent. It didn't clean my clothes very well to begin with. I will never buy this brand ever again. It was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent.

Bought a samsung hard-disk that stopped working the very first month. Recently made a big mistake buying a Samsung Behold. The phone has many bugs. To get of rid of them, I attempted "reseting" the settings. The reset does not work like a "reset" works on 99.99% of the devices. A reset is for reconfiguring all user settings. In the case of Samsung behold, it deletes all your photos, videos without even a warning! So I lost all pictures, and videos that I collected over an year. And guess what, the bug that I was hoping to get rid of still exists. I am never ever ever buying anything Samsung again. Spend a few more bucks, always go Sony.

NEVER BUY SAMSUNG!!!!! My six week old M630 phone broke, my repair bill went from 0.00 to 86.00. It is still under warranty but they (of course) say that whatever is wrong with it (LCD crystal or screen) isn't covered. Spoke to 3 different people, escalated twice and they will not do anything. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. They lost a customer for life over 86 bucks. I hate you, Mowgli!

Shame on you Samsung!

I bought a 40" Samsung 1080p LCD HDTV 15 months ago. When I turn it on, there are purple dots all across the screen. I have to power it off & on again for them to go away. They just started appearing out of the blue one day.

A few weeks later, the TV started having issue powering on. When I turn on the set, it comes on but without a picture, then it turns off, then it turns on again, then it turns off again, and it continues to do this for about 7-8 minutes before finally coming on with a picture.

I did some research online and what I discovered was shocking!

Google "Samsung purple dots" and you will find many Samsung TV owners writing about the same issue. It's called "power cycling" and its caused by faulty hardware, capacitors to be exact.

Samsung apparently used 10V capacitors where a minimum of 15V-20V should have been used. Over time, the capacitors start to fail. The results are the purple dots and power cycling issue.

Read more here:

2) http://www.consumeraffairs.com/home_electronics/samsung_tv.html

Samsung warrantys the TV for one year from date of purchase. Since I purchased my TV 15 months ago, it's 3 months past warranty. Needless to say, I purchased a 3-year extended warrany when I bought the TV. I thought I was covered.

Unfortunately, both the company I purchased the TV from (PlasmaBay.com) and the warranty company (RepairTech.com) have gone out of business. I felt like I'd just been punched in the stomach.

Desperate, I called Samsung and politely explained my plight. They politely told me there was nothing they could do.

I am extremely disappointed. I spent $1400 on a Samsung TV that lasted only 15 months. I feel cheated and I think many people would feel the same if this happend to them.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Samsung should stand by their product and customers.

Shame on you Samsung!

It's sad to see that I am one of hundreds of consumers who are experiencing this issue with their Samsung LCD or Plasma HDTVs.

I used to love Samsung but I feel that I have been let down as a electronic consumer. Therefore, I will excercise my economic freedom by steering clear of any Samsung products. Likewise, I will advise my friends and family of my horrible experience.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK, RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING, DON'T BUY SAMSUNG!!!

Thanks for listening.

My Samsung flatscreen went out as well as the fridge. Both products were less than 3 years old. Samsung does not stand by their products, and trying to find a repairman to service these products is next to impossible. Most repairmen have told me that ths Samsung workmanship sucks and that the parts are too hard to get ahold of.
I work in an industry where ppl ask my opinion on TVs at least 4 to 5 times a day. Let the wrath begin! (Best Buy sucks as well, and they do not stand by the merchandise they sell)

a thought from the past said...

I am a servicer in Canada and SAMSUNG refuses to pay FAIR mileage to the customers home. They are of the opinion we should be honoured to service their units.
There is no service available for this manufacturer in many regions of Canada because they expect CANADIANS to work for SOUTH KOREA WAGES!!!!!
Some os us refuse to do their service, PLEASE, do not buy their appliances till they pay fair rates.

I had a Samsung TV and my paretns have to repair it 3 times the first time the warranty cover it then it went off and on off and on and when my stepdad's nephew played video games on it the TV is dead, so I replace that crappy Samsung TV to an RCA TV that lasted a long time and RCA rocks, thank God that Samsung say they make the best TVs my ass.

I've seen Samsung against Sony no comparison well Sony kicks ass while Samsung sucks the only company from Korea that makes good products is LG so I compared the LG LED TV against a Samsung and LG won in sharpness while the Samsung one is no surprise I bet LG outsells Samsung in South Korea no wonder why they suck.

Well I don't have my RCA TV anymore but I bet since 2000 with a converter box that RCA TV still runs well I consider RCA and not to spend money on some piece of shit Samsung now they sell shit for over a grand will you pay a G for a piece of shit?

RCA rocks Sony Rocks and Samsung Sucks!

We need a current posting to make sure everyone realizes that on Dec 23rd of 2009 - Samsung STILL SUCKS. Their extended tv warranty isn't worth crap, good luck using it to fix anything major AND their complaint department ignores requests to contact unhappy customers. You will never speak to the same person twice and all you will receive is lip service for all your trouble. You cannot call the complaint or extended warranty departments, they must contact you. Nice set up, guess what? They don't call. Buy an LG or a SONY tv - or buy the Samsung tv and throw it away when it breaks.

PureNrg said...

I agree that Samsung sucks Whats even worse is that they make TV`s for other companies such as Sony ect but under sony specs ect.
So what does that do to a company like Samsung....well as long as we buy the other brands they are contracted to build they will be making tons of money, and laughing at us.

End result lousy Customer service for their own brand.

PureNrg said...

Oh I forgot,

Also Samsung can make a better product and give customer support but then they would be charging a higher price like Sony ect.

I bought a Samsung 54" DLP TV in 2007 for $1200.00. When the picture went back in October, I called them. They sais it was the lamp. I bought a $130. lamp. I installed the lam. Still no picture, only faint image. I called Samsung , they said it was something else, call a repair person. I called the repair person and they told me that it would be $1030. to repair it, and he charged me $170. to tell me that. After two more calls, the "escalation department" tells me and I quote miss Kendra "we don't cover our product past the one year warranty" and "there is none above me to talk to"... Appaently the president, CEO, CFO, etc is a woman named Kendra.

Bought Samsung 61" DLP TV when $2500 was a good price for them. The TV has had numerous problems and is currently in need of a digital board replacement that would cost $500!! Samsung is not willing to do anything about it since it is our of warranty even though based on the feedback on the internet, this seems to be an inherent problem with these TVs and has to do with how the DNIe chip is soldered onto the digital board. They may have saved themselves some money by not fixing my TV, but they have lost me and anyone else I could convince, as customers forever.

Samsung laser printer ML-2510 costs $120. Replacement cartridge for it costs $95. Now I realised that the cartridge is leaking toner badly, so I called Samsung. A sleepy unprofessionally speaking guy told me Samsung will not do anything to replace this faulty cartridge for me and suggested so I go to Office Depot where I purchased the cartridge and complain to them. So I did, but OFFICE DEPOT refused to exchange the cartridge for me to a good one stating that this is the manufacturer's fault. This is the first and the last time I ever buy anything made by Samsung and something made by a Korean company, because I had problems with LG as well. I also had problems with SONY, but they took care of the problem for free. Once Samsung loses customers, they can change their company name, but smart customers will find out who the new company is and won't buy their products. Avoid wasting your time and having problems by boycotting all goods made by SAMSUNG.

Well this is a long story that's lasted 3 months going on 4 now. It started with the Samsung lcd LNT4671F, the best Sears had, began noticeably with a pronounced triple ball effect, so I did research and found out that it needed a firmware upgrade. So I call Samsung tech people and they said it was on the web to download it. It wasn't so I called back and they said they email it to me as an attachment. They didn't. So I called them back. They said they did email it and so they'd do it again. I waited and nothing. I call back. They said they couldn't email it to me because I have a Mac!?! But they said they'd mail me a thumbnail drive with it on there. A few days later I get it. Put it in the usb and set up the tv. It won't recognize it. Tried several times in different ways; won't work. Wait a couple of days try again-- it works! But makes the tv worse and I start getting green lines across the panel! Call Samsung back-- they send tv repair service people. I have to loose a day of work because they don't work on weekends. Say it's the motherboard; have to order. Wait a week, install, loose a day of work because they don't work on weekends. It doesn't work; say it must be another part; order it. Wait a week, install, loose a day of work because they don't work on weekends. The part doesn't fix it either. Have to order a new panel. Wait a week but no call to install. So I call. Find out there are no panel so a claim sent for exchange! Call after a few days to find out how it's going since I've been without a tv for a month and a half. I'm told the paperwork was filled out wrong and it needs to be redone but it was corrected and I'd gat a call tomorrow about the exchange. No call. So I call the next day and get the same answer 3 more times that the paperwork was filled out wrong and has to be corrected. I get upset and they kick me up to the executive customer service level who read me the same script but assure me it's different. I wait. No call. So I call about 10 more times. Another month has gone by. They tell me the exchanged is approved but I have to wait for the exchange person to call me. And BTW the warranty isn't with Samsung but with Sears! WHAT! So why have I been dealing with Samsung if the warranty is with Sears. Isn't Sears supposed to do the exchange? No one knows. I call Sears they say to wait and see what Samsung offers. I ask them if I have to start from scratch with Sears as far as the repair people coming over 2-3 times before and exchange; Sears says no it's 3-4 times! I write the BBB. I call the Sears repair people to come over on a gut feeling that Samsung will use anything to delay and avoid an exchange if they can get away with it. Sears repair guy tells me the same thing. Another week goes by. 3 months from start of messed up tv. Samsung exchange guy finally calls me; leaves me a message while I'm working. I call back 6-7 times. He finally calls to say he'll offer me a 40% discount for a tv but won't exchange because the warranty is with Sears. Wouldn't even considering talking about compensating me for the time they cost me, HD cable, time off work, no working tv now going 4 months, preordered dvd's, no sports run offs, season endings, ruined holidays, etc. Just best talk to Sears. I'm feel extremely distraught. Can't sleep per the anger. This is a nightmare. Now I have to start this process all over with Sears. I am extremely disappointed in Samsung for their negligent incompetence and arrogant treatment. I'm feeling like Samsung treated me like a non-person. Possibly even discriminated against me. Definately sending letter to everyone.

SAMSUNG by far has the WORST customer service. What the HELL are they doing? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Their website isn't even properly done and it seems the buttons to select model type/etc is missing so you can't contact their abandoned customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR CAMCORDERS. THEY ARE CRAP. Their website even misleads you with fake specifications and don't even update the firmware. Once they have your money, they basically ABANDON everything. BOYCOTT Samsung until they get their acts straight. They are NOTHING without the customers. Samsung's website and customer service is an absolute JOKE. I know it's mainly a Korean company, so it seems they are not that concerned about setting the custom service straight here in the US. Again, did I mention Samsung's customer service is absolute CRAP?

I hate this company, hate their products, their website and hate the customer service! they are all a bunch of crap! keep distance from Samsung, their products are pure shit! bought a BR player and after 7 months it's stopped working and I cannot get an answer from this SOBs regarding the service to fix it! after many emails exchanges, their response:
"We apologize for the inconvenience.

However, we would like to inform you that we have designed the product after extensive technical research
and feedback from customers about the product by our design team.

We appreciate your feedback on the product. We certainly take a note of your suggestions as Samsung

Add me to the list of Sumsung haters. 15 month old electric range is dead. It has a steam cleaning feature that shorts out the circuits. It's a known problem, according to my repair man, so we never used the steam cleaning, but general steam from cooking is apparently just as bad.

Sad thing is we replaced a perfectly good GE range in the kitchen remodel....it was still working like a champ after 60 years.

Anonymous said...

. It still has some kind of image, but it is is almost unwatchable...it is like everything I watch was filmed with a thermal camera

Trust me pal, you are not the only one having this problem.

The "picture enchance"/"DNIe" chip present in most samsung tv's purposely ruins the picture, by converting some of the dark parts of the picture to black and making the blue and red parts of the picture brighter, and thus, you get the "thermal camera" effect.

You can solve the problem by setting the picture settings to "movie" mode, this should disable most of the "picture enchance" features. Just don't forget to also set "color tone" to normal from warm and the backlight to 7. This gives a somewhat good picture, but again it's not as pleasant to watch as real hi-fi devices like philips and sony.

Trust me, if I could find a 22inch LCD TV with a good viewing angle (I don't want to spend money in a tv with the same lame vertical viewing angle as my current samsung, and I can't get anything bigger than 22), then I would have quit my current samsung and got something better for sure.

Hi, I just bought a 32” Samsung LED TV last December 15th 2009; it broke one month and 15 days after. Technical support sent for it, and then after 2 weeks they told me they would give me my money back because its piece of crap cannot be fixed (which for me was better than get a brand new “fixed” TV instead)

Well today after more than 1 month and a half later, I have not received any response from them, also, I talked several times with a “female” working for Samsung who is “working” on my case, and she has been so thoughtless, rude and annoying as you cannot imagine.

She has been so inefficient and incompetent that I have no words to describe it.

I really started hating Samsung, and I will never recommend to anybody not even to my worst enemy to buy any Samsung product.

I am just waiting to get my money back to start a Facebook group, like this page, but I think in facebook it would get a little more impact than here because you can invite all your friends and ask them to invite all their friends and so on.

So if anyone here wants to join me against Samsung so we can make them stop with all this, please do.

I will let you know at this blog as soon as I have created it.

I bought a 73" Samsung projection TV and 14 months later its main computer chip blew up. I paid $2,400 to watch TV for 14 months. It cost $700 to fix, which is almost 1/2 of what this TV now sells for. And of course, it conveniently blew up 2 months after the warranty expired. I will never buy any Samsung product again. It is, pure and simple, plain junk, with all of its component parts coming from the Pacific Rim and thrown together in Korea or China. Save yourself from this junk and don't buy it.

i called on customer care no.(1800110011) of samsung on 29th march and i was told that my complaint would be answered by 8pm. but on that day there was no response. next day i called again then also i was informed that Engineer would be at your address by 8pm. again there was no engineer on 30th march as well. then on 31st i called again and asked when will you care about customer?.. again i was told mam by today engineer would be there. finally engineer came. and informed me that motor is not working. n was informed that motor cost 1600rs. and it would be fitted by 1st April. again on 1st April engineer was missing. then on 2nd April engineer came and said mam your A/c's gas is leaking and it would cost around 1800 rs again. and a/c would be picked by today by a head of workshop.again there was no response from there. then on 3rd April i called engineer that there is no response from workshop head then after so much of calls my A/c was carried to work shop. and i was informed that by 4th of April your a/c would delivered back to you. then i called on 4th april asking about my a/c on workshop no. i called on that no. 10 times but it was not attended. again i called engineer. he told me that mam now this case is not under me so i cant help you. still he connected me to workshop he said mam now your A/c would be deliver to you by 5th of april . again on 5th of April i called on workshop no. again no one care to answer the call. then i called from another no which was not in their records. luckily the call was answered and then sum1 told me that A/c is under testing face. by 6th of April before 2 pm it would be delivered. again on 6th of April some one else answered the call and told me that my a/c would be delivered on 7th now. might on 7th April sum1 else can say it would be deliver next day..and the procedure of saying next day is not ending which is irritating for a customer to bear. i dont know what exactly they want from a customer. how much time does a company take to do the testing??? more than 30 hours??? does it so?? then i am very sorry for the company as this is not the way company should work.

and if this the case then they should stop selling their products as they are good for nothing and their so called service is a torture for customers. dont knw how they can expect that customer should spend 4000rs on repairing.. when repairing is provided by samsung company? in such a ridiculous way?? isint it unfare for a customer to pay such a high amount and get result as nothing????? and when contacted customer care on 6th of April i got response as its none of our responsibility??? then whose responsibility is it?????
IN SHORT -

I AM NOT AT ALL SATISFY WITH THE SERVICE. IT IS A TORTURE FOR ME. AND IT WAS MY BIGGEST MISTAKE THAT I PURCHASED A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. AND WOULD TAKE CARE WOULD NEVER LET ANY ONE I KNOW BUY ANY PRODUCT OF YOUR COMPANY

can any 1 tell me any no. where i should call and give them peice of mind and telling them their actual position.

i bought a samsung 61"DLP march 2009,
march of 2010 the tv started rebooting itself, losing picture completely, called samsung, they sent tech out, after 4 times of attempted repair, the tv does the same thing, except now it will lock up completely after changing inputs. i have spent many hours on the phone with CS, and there excectutive customer support and they told me that they would exchange the tv for a 32" refurb tv. the funny thing is, that before any service tech came out, a samsung person, named shamilla called me and offered me a direct replacement of my tv. i accepted their offer, a day later shamilla called me back and said that they coulddnt do a direct replacement like they said they would. but they could exchange my tv for another tv with the same features as my tv, but i would have to pay a upgrade fee.

now i could go on and on about this, but after spending 5 hours on the phone with them yesterday i am still very upset and do not with to open up that can of worms again an get myself all worked up.

BOTTOM LINE IS
DO NOT BY ANYTHING THAT HAS THE NAME SAMSUNG ON IT, OR ANYTHING THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH SAMSUNG.

I hate samsung with a hatred i haven't felt since i was a child.

these people care nothing about honoring their warranty or there word. Samsung you can kiss my hairy ass

Samsung suck ass. Big time. I can honestly say, every Samsung product I have ever purchased has been either broken to start with, or has packed up within days of me purchasing it. (Yes, after the fourth Samsung product I learnt my lesson and stopped buying their crap- call me a slow learner!

Recently my girls 6 month old Samsung vacuum cleaner packed it in. She took it back and got a replacement one. Two days later, it's fucked. Why am I not surprised?

People, do not EVERY buy ANYTHING Samsung. It is all junk which is the reason their products are always that bit cheaper. Stick with Panasonic/ Sony etc. The Japanese brands are FAR superior to Samsungs JUNK!

I purchased a Samsung LNS4692DX/XAA 46" LCD Flatscreen in OCT 06. On 7 MAY 10, I lost video, audio remained. Looked into it, obviously mine is one of the many TV's with the T-con failure. I called Samsung--no, it is not a recall item. Called Best Buy-No, it is not returnable (obviously). So I have a 3.5 year old, $2,600 paperweight.
Samsung--why don't you do right by your customers and offer free repair of this obvious design flaw? You would have retained me as a customer if you did right by me instead of going for the quick money you greed pigs.
I hope your company goes bankrupt.
SAMSUNG SUCKS !!! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!

So, I bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player at Sam's Club. You know, it was kind of cheap. Cheap is definietly not better. It hasn't connected to the Internet@TV service for 3 days (since I brought it home). Here is the last chat session from Samsung, and why they suck.

It started having minor issues 3-4 months after i bought it. It now won't play blu-ray discs anymore. I called samsung, they said they would replace deffective [arts, but that I would have to pay for labor! WTF??? You have to be kidding me. This is the worst customer servoce comapny in the the world and their products aren't made to last

Working for a larger tv retailer I will point out that samsung tries to be very misleading to the consumer, their object is thinner and brighter, don't fall for the gimmicks when your in a store the brighter the tv the more it will call to you, stop and break down that picture grab a piece of paper and hold it up to white and ask your self if it matches? It won't on a samsung, edge lit LED tv's are rippoffs with samsung intiateing the market, if there's no local dimmig what's it actualy giving me for an extra 500-1000$, tv's today have a shorter lifespan because of the flatness and dispersing heat, if you go thinner how do you think that would affect lifespan

PC Studio does suck. No way to update phone firmware with Windows 7 PC - that has been default OS for a long time already. Wonder what's the excuse for that remaining in "stone age" ?

Our LCD tv is only three years old. We spent alot of $$ on it!!!
Model # LNT5265FX in 2008
EVERYTIME we turn on the tv it has vertical lines and dots all over the screen. WE have to turn it off and then back on again to get it to clear.
I called Samsung and there is NOTHING they can do about it except set us up with someone to come and fix it and it will be OUR cost.
OUR COST!! We spent almost $2000 on this tv and it is only 3 years old!!! And, two weeks after we bought it it had an issue and they had to replace a part.
I will not buy a Samsung again.

I call samsung and one month later i still have the line in the TV first they ask me to call the Service Center, then they send me a email telling me they will replace the TV that i have to wait for 10 business days for approval, and then after i wait two weeks they told me the order of replacement was denied and they send the part to the service center. I call the service center and they told me they have the ticket as complete. Any way now I have to wait I dont know how long for them to fix my TV. Will never buy a samsung product!

Got a 42 inch LCD TV a year and a half ago. A couple days ago the screen started to go green along with static audio. Unplugged a unit which helped for about a day. Now it won't even turn on.
Called customer service and of course their standard script is well, I'm sorry but you didn't buy warranty. Fir enough, but I certainly didn't expect the unit fail in 16 months. I have no cable or play video games for hours. Service center determined that it's a panel issue and it would cost more to repair to to buy one.

Turns out samsung is known for its products failing much sooner than their competitors. Funny, despite all the green washing it looks like samsung is one of the dirties companies as those who are still willing will have to buy products more frequently now. It also means that you throw out the old ones.

I bought a Blu-ray surround sound home theater from Sears about a year ago. It has never worked properly and is in constant danger of meeting a violent end.
I hope that whoever designed the speaker wire connections system is fired.
Thankfully the good people at Sears agreed to refund my money completely.
Samsung will never get another dime from this household.

I used to be a big samsung fan. Had monitor, mp3, mobile phone, hard drive and tv all samsung. I understand some electronic device can break in a household and you may end up with an unpleasant person, this can happen to any company or person. But samsung really disappointed me once my things started to break. First my tv got bleeding edges after spending 2.5k on it and buying extended garanty It took me 2 month of constant calling and arguing to get it fixed. just when I got it fixed my phone went dead it was fairly new omnia jet, every time I turned it on it gave me white screen and nothing happened. brought it to the shop showed my warranty. they told me to wait 2 week for a mail or house call to come pick it up. 3 weeks later I went there. they told me they forgot to inform me that its back(wtf?). I get outside the shop put my sim card it, turn it on and I get white screen. was pissed went back they wanned to send it back again but I started getting real mad and raise my voice, eventually they gave me a new phone. now my hard disk is broken. every hour or so it turns off and hangs my computer for 10-30sec. I wont bother trying to repair it, just not worth it. but now I know that never in my life will i buy shitty samsung product.

jimmy! said...

The only good thing i can say about Samsung is that they make me feel like the smartest and most unidiotic person in the world.

They took almost 6 months to refund me for a computer monitor that decided not to work that good after a week since it was purchased.

If you run a warranty department and would like tips on how to delay a warranty claim, go to

http://samsungscircleofstupidity.blogspot.com/

There you will see how Samsung was able to drag out a warranty claim to almost half a year.

P.S One of the delay tactics involved cancelling my claim after 3 months and then blaming me for the cancellation.

I can't get over how many people are having trouble with their Samsung DLP TV's. They say misery loves company but I'd rather have my 61 inch Samsung working. I turn it on, the time it takes to happen varies for the picture to turn pink and green. Sometimes it takes about a half and hour and sometimes it takes and hour or two. But it never fails. The picture turns green and pink. The tv is only four years old. I just want to get rid of it. I've never been ripped off so blatantly. and It only worked for four years. $3000.00 one down the drain. I've gone to other forums and they all are overflooded with complaints about Samsung DLP TV. This is TV is junk. I want my money back! Yeah right....

Bought the top of the line refrigerator on Sept 4, 2010, Sept 15 it stops cooling freezing. Called store mgr @ Lowes and within five hours there was a replacement in my kitchen. I called to thank the mgr for speedy service and inquired if there was any recourse with a box full of spoiled food. He called a few hours later and offered to credit my account foe $100.00. OK I said, better than nothing. I called Samsung Cust Svc and pleaded my case. The said I needed a repair history, then they said I needed to fax them a list of the contents of the box for review and finally they said they could not offer any reimbursement for lost/spoiled food. All i asked foe was $100.00 to offset the cost of the food, not including clean up time hauling the contents away or the return trip to the grocery store to refill their new fridge. This is/was my first experience with Samsung and it will be the last. I will try to turn anyone away from their brand, everyone has defects, it's how you handle the customer after the sale that separates the good from the bad. Samsung sucks!

I bought a HT-C6500 Smasumg Home Theater. What a huge mistake! The 1st unit had plenty of issues right out of the box. I spent 3 days and MANY hours on the phone with the USELESS tech support. I was finally "elevated" 3 times and got the RUDEST woman I have ever spoken to. SHe refused to replace the defective unit. She would only agree to my mailing it back and letting them take a look at it. I had the thing for only 3 days and now I was going to have to mail it back and do without it for 2 mos!?!?! They would not send me a new one and then let me send back the defective one. Good thing I had bought it thru Amazon! Amazon replaced the defective unit right away. The 2nd unit, still has issues but it is much better. I have seen others complaining about this, so I don't think sending this one back will do any good. Right now, I live with the damn thing resetting certain settings back to factory defaults after every software upgrade. I have to go into the menu and redo them each time they issue software updates. The two most annoying of these are the power on/off sounds which are EXTREMELY loud and my netflix activation. I have to reactivate NETFLIX after every software "upgrade". I have repeatedly told tech support about this and they do NOTHING about it. This is the WORST customer support that I have ever seen and I will NEVER buy another crappy Samsung product again.

Bought a Samsung multifunction printer from Newegg, within a few months the scanner failed. I contact them for an RMA & ship to their authorized service center. The product is damaged en route by their shipper but the shop accepts the shipment. They don't contact me so after 2 weeks I call Samsung to check the status. "We're not covering it - it was damaged.". They try to tell me that I have to file for a refund from UPS. Of course that's notmhow it works. When I inquired why they accepted the shipment I was put on hold an eventually told OK, we'll cover it. A week later I call to check status. "What are you talking about? We're not covering that!"

A long storynshort, 3 months later, after complaining to the BBB, I get a printer back with USED PARTS used in the repair & assembled incorrectly.

Check out their repair company for Canada. They used to be listed, even with their telephone #, in Samsung product literature. Now they are completely unlisted, even in the phone book, and even refused to talk to us when SAMSUNG gave us their number & told us to call. You can find itheir name if you look at a manual for old Samsung products or google for it.

My 206bw LCD monitor malfunctioned (flashes on and off) after only 2 years (maybe that's a long time now?) due to a design flaw. I can fix it myself (replace a couple o' caps).
I found it funny that in their response email they wanted to blame my surge suppressor, even though if one searches Google for "Samsung 206bw" it offers "samsung 206bw flashing" in the drop down list. Stupid enough to buy Samsung said...

I have recently been royally screwed by Samsung Electronics and their pathetic service affiliate Lakes Electronics of Fort Lauderdale, FL so I feel like I should warn anyone else out there may consider making the mistake of buying a product from either of them or using any service they provide.

Samsung DLP televisions are defective. They are so defective that to avoid a class action lawsuit the company is offering to send out service representatives to fix televisions that are no longer under warranty. Unfortunately the service company Samsung sends out, Lakes Electronics of Fort Lauderdale, is as defective as the televisions they make.

The whole ridiculous thing started a few weeks ago when I noticed that my Samsung television had a small white dot on the screen. A couple of weeks later there were two dots and eventually there were three. Concerned that a 3 year old Samsung television that cost a $1000 dollars was going out I searched the internet and found hundreds of complaints from other people suffering the same problem. Some of the other people with defective tv’s recommended that you call Samsung because there had been so many problems that they would come out and replace the defective chips which cause the problem.

So I took the advice and called Samsung. They offered to send out someone to replace the defective chip in my television. When the service technician arrived at my home I had a fully functioning television that had a defective chip and a few white dots but worked fine otherwise. By the time the service technician left my house the TV didn’t work at all.

I called Lakes Electronics to let them know that their service technician had broken my TV and they said it would be a week before they could come back out. Despite my frustration I waited patiently for them to come repair the damage they caused. Unfortunately a week later the same service tech, Adam Shapiro, came out and told me that he would not fix it because it now needs a new lamp and the owner of Lakes Electronics, Andy Macpherson, would not accept responsibility for the damge they had done. Let me be clear my television worked fine until Adam Shapiro of Lakes Electronics took my television apart to fix it.

I tried to explain the situation to Samsung by phone but they refused to do anything about the television they broke and I called Lakes Electronics and their service manager, Mike Bavetz, tried to tell me that it was a complete coincidence that my TV didn’t work after Adam Ahapiro worked on it. So now my television doesn’t work at all and neither Samsung nor Lakes Electronics will repair the damage they have done.

So the moral of the story is:

1) Do not buy Samsung products

2) Do not allow a Lakes Electronics repairman in your house

I bought a Samsung fridge from Sears but continued doing research until I found negative reviews at ConsumerAffairs. I called their customer service number in the US and was appalled at the attitude expressed at my innocuous questions about their fridges and reliability. I cancelled my order and have come to know that Samsung is a terrible company. They may have JDPowers endorsement but it means nothing. I don't understand how Consumer Reports find their products good enough to recommend. In my experience I tell evryone not to purchase any Samsung product. Yesterday, I almost bought an Iomega exyternal drive but it came with a Samsung HD so I forgot about it. There is no way I want to deal with absolutely terrible customer service.

I purchased 42 inch Plasma TV of brand Samsung model PS42A4501MXL(s/n 07903ZES00073-Image copy enclosed) from Home Town , Noida on 27th April 2009( Cash memo copy enclosed).

1) After a day of purchase of the plasma I noticed a defect in picture display and contacted Samsung customer case. A complaint was filed and about a month later the plasma TV was replaced with a new one. I was told by the engineer that this particular model was unsuccessful and Samsung has discontinued it.
2) About 2 months after the replacement happened I noticed a vertical line on the left hand corner on the plasma display. I promptly called Samsung customer care and filed my complaint. On follow up I was told that such small aberrations are normal for the 42 inch display and it just has to be ignored. Since the line was on the left most corner and not hindering the view in any way I kept ignoring it.
3) In April 2010 I noticed that another vertical line had appeared on the display on the left half slightly aside the first vertical line. I called Samsung again filed the complaint. I received no response from Samsung and had to call the customer care repeatedly to get an engineer to visit and inspect the TV.

4) Finally an engineer visited in June 2010 and declared that the plasma display screen has gone bad. The engineer also informed me that the replacement plasma itself would have been defective and the customer care misled me into ignoring the defect.

5) Since the plasma was in warranty at the time the display started to deteriorate I filed a requested Samsung customer care to honor their commitments towards warranty and replace the unit. More and more vertical lines started appearing. By September first week there were about 8 vertical lined all over the screen.

6) My ordeal with the dishonest Samsung customer-care started at this point. I had to call almost daily to inquire about the status of replacements.

Following is the list of calls made to Samsung customer care
05April2010 Customer Care 1800110011

Ms. Sonali Thakre (Mgr customer care) (She promised that a replacement case was filed and the service center was instructed to replace the unit. She said she had written an email to service center with the instructions to replace.)
12Aug2010 Customer Care Ms. Shipra Nagpal
24Aug2010 Customer Care Mr. Shantanu Vadera
26Aug2010 Customer Care Mr. Harish
30Aug2010 Customer Care Mr. Deepak Dahal
13Sep2010 Customer Care Mr. Arnab Bose Manager Customer Care
Mr. Bose informed me that the case has been taken up for replacement of the plasma TV unit with a brand new one
7) In October first week the entire plasma screen went dead. We could only hear audio and the screen was blank.

It is very disappointing after having spent a huge sum on the purchase; the TV has gone bad immediately after purchase and I was misled by Samsung customer care to ignore the blemish. This is not first time I have found the Samsung product failing too soon. I had purchased DVD Writers for my PC and successively two of the DVD writers failed in a short span of less than an year. This proves that the Samsung products are unreliable and the customer is trapped to go for expensive repair or trash the product. In this case of Plasma TV which being a very expensive product, Samsung must replace the defective TV and honor the warranty. Samsung is aware of the dwindling consumer rights prevalent in India and they take full advantage of this weakness. I am severely depressed due to this and feel betrayed and cheated.

I advise strongly against buying any samsung products and certainly not any samsung plasma TVs.

Samsung Sells Defective Plasmas in India

Bought a BD-C6500 Blu-Ray player. I really liked everything about it, until Samsung pushed out an update that killed the audio in Netflix Instant play. Support had me send it in for repairs. Got it back after four days (they did a firmware update according to support)and nothing was fixed, still the same issue. Now, after Samsung put that player on sale for half of what I paid a month ago, they want me to wait for at least three weeks for them to ship me a replacement unit. Heck, I don't even want their equipment! They broke it, can't fix it, and I would rather purchase a brand that has some kind of customer SERVICE instead of getting jerked around and being without the player for over a month. Spoke with "excutive support", whatever THAT name is supposed to mean, and they just don't care. All I ever get is excuses and apologies where all I want is a Blu-Ray player that works and hasn't been broken by Samsung with their UPDATE!!!

I also had a DOA HDD which was a warranty replacement, I had to pay shipping again to have it returned...

Amazing

Samsung cannot last no matter how good the product is if they don't give proper support when something goes bad. I do the purchasing for a career school in Burbank California, spending thousands of dollars, and will never buy another Samsung product. Not only will I not buy another Samsung I have the ability to influence hundreds a students to never buy one and in the movie industry that is a big deal.
Samsung change your ways before Samsung becomes synonymous with
Thieves.

Haven't even bought from them once. So before I buy products I like to see why they suck but 198 comments already taught me about those jackasses so I know i'm not buying from there unless if I really want to of course. But probably never will for their shitty service -_- anyways this is my regards.

~Ps, Samsung sucks more ass than you do :P

I purchased the Samsung Epic 2 years ago (it was a winmo 6.1 phone with a full qwerty keyboard and a touch screen). From the get go there were many problems: phone and data connection would completely stop working randomly, screen would turn on and off randomly, and many others). a "fix" was released which ended up breaking more than it fixed (luckily I did not install the fix). A fix for the fix never came. An upgrade to winmo 6.5 was promised for a very long time, after many delays it was finally released, fixing some problems but not others. At the time of the 6.5 release my touch screen had completely stopped working so I did not end up instally the upgrade since 6.5 is a more touch based os. Phone had lots of promise, but samsung failed to support their product and therefore I will not support them ever again.

I really feel sorry for the millions who purchased galaxy s phones...

Samsung. They do not support Macs, so they are on my never, ever, buy again. I spent a lot of money on their TV, blu-ray, etc to find that all they're little programs and features don't work on MAC. Disgusting company and I hate them.
